2012 started off with a BANG!! January 2012 January 22, 2012 - Blue Heavens Days of Thunder "Cruise" went WD for his final Major to finish his Championship!! "Cruise" is co-owned with Kyle and Dave Bohnenkamp. He makes Ch #11 for his sire Ch Thunder and Ch # 3 for his dam Ch Blue Heavens Celestial. "Cruise" is a repeat of Blue Heavens Divine Comedy and a littersister to Ch Tyra. January 21, 2012 - Blue Heavens Divine Comedy "Dante" went WD/BW for a Major. Only 1 Major to go to finish his Championship. Dante is co-owned with Pat Keohane. January 14 & 15th 2012 - Blue Heavens Champagne on Ice "Bubbles" went WB/BW for a Major , than the following day she went WB/BW and BOS over 2 specials for her 2nd Major.!! This was "Bubbles" first time in the ring and she is 6 months and 10 days old!! We are very excited about what the future holds for this beautiful blue bitch!! PS: She is the puppy pictured below with my son in our New Years card she was 6 weeks of age at the time of the picture!
December 2011 December 3, 2011 - Blue Heavens Blew Bi You goes WB/BW for a 4 point Major!! This now gives Sparky 8 points and 1 Major December 4, 2011- Blue Heavens Iced Latte goes WB..!! Sadly the judge did not cross over the Dog Major!! But a win is a win!! We are still very pleased!!
We will be taking the next 2 1/2 months of from showing. Hope to be back in December.Everyone is out of coat and it is time for some Family time!! See you in December
September 2011 September 24, 2011: Back to Back Specialties in Iowa City. AM Specialty: Best of Breed: Ch Blue Heavens Lethal Weapon "Gibson" PM Specialty: Ch Blue Heavens Lethal Weapon "Gibson" repeats his win again going Best of Breed AND Wynstone Etched Bi Blue Heaven "Eve" goes WB/BW/BOS for a 3 point Major!! This now gives "Eve" 9 points with a Specialty Major. Eve is completely out of coat and will take the rest of the year off to grow a new one.. Watch her back in 2012 to finish!! September 11, 2011- Wynstone Etched Bi Blue Heaven "Eve" goes WB/BW and Breed over a Special!! She now currently has 6 points. August 2011(1 NEW CHAMPION) August 1st and 2nd, 2011 - Blue Heavens Picture Perfect "Focus" makes it a hat- trick going WB three days in a row to finish her Championship!! Finishing with 4 Majors she makes Champion #3 from her litter to finish. She also makes Champion #9 for us to finish this year!! July 2011(12 pts- 3 Majors & 2 NEW CHAMPIONS) July 31, 2011 - Blue Heavens Picture Perfect "Focus" goes WB/BW and BOS over 2 Specials for a Major. This now gives "Focus" 13 points and FOUR Majors!! July 30, 2011 - Wynstone Etched by Blue Heaven "Eve" goes WB/BW for 2 points!! July 17, 2011- "Sonic" goes WD for a 3 point Major to finish his Championship! He is now officially CH B'Dazzled Silver Blast of Blue Heaven. "Sonic" makes Ch #11 for his sire BISS Ch Blue Heavens Hi Ho Silver ROM. July 3, 2011- Blue Heavens Amazing Grace goes WB/BW for her 2nd Major to FINISH HER CHAMPIONSHIP!!! "Grace" started 2011 needing 2 Majors to finish. She was only shown TWICE in 2011 and won BOTH times!! Now that is incredible and lucky!! Grace's new Championship makes Champion #10 for her dad who is now Ch Apple Acres Blue Heaven Thunder ROM !!! Thunder makes our 3rd ROM/ Champion here at Blue Heaven!! "Grace" is the dam of our lovely Ch Blue Heavens Lethal Weapon "Gibson". This now gives "Gibson" 14 ROM's and 25 American Champions out of 30 dogs in his first 4 generation pedigree. This is a record pedigree for Champions/ ROM's in 4 generation in our breeding program and we could not be prouder!!
June 2011( 12 points- 3 Majors) June 25th, 2011- B'Dazzled Silver Blast of Blue Heaven "Sonic" goes WD for 2 points. Now he just needs that one last Major to finish!! And Ch Blue Heavens Forget-Me-Not "Sarah" goes Best of Breed!! This win finished up her Grand Championship!! Just in time as she has one weekend left and than she is done for awhile as she is blowing coat!! June 11th & 12th, 2011 - Blue Heaavens Picture Perfect repeats her win from last weekend taking back to back WB for 4 more points !! INCLUDING her THIRD Major!! "Focus" now has 10 points- 3 Majors !! We hope to finish her this summer before she blows her puppy coat!! This will make 3 Champions from her mothers first litter. The repeat litter is planned for Fall...... stay tuned!!!!
June 4, 2011- Blue Heavens Picture Perfect "Focus" goes WB/BW for a Major!! Her 2nd Major. We hope she will quickly join her litterbrothers Ch Blaze and Ch Jackson and hopefully make 3 Champions this year for their dam Ch Blue Heavens Forget-Me-Not "Sarah". Not a bad track record for her FIRST litter- hopefully soon to be 3 Champions !! June 3, 2011 - Blue Heavens Amazing Grace goes WB for a Major!! Now only 1 Major to go to finish her Championship!! "Grace" is the mother of our beautiful boy Ch Blue Heavens Lethal Weapon "Gibson". !! And Ch Blue Heavens Forget-Me-Not goes Best of Breed and Group 4. She is now 4 for 4 for Group placements... 4 weekends in the ring and and the 4th weekend with a Group placement. And at her VERY First time in the ring Blue Heavens Autumn Moonlight take a Major Reserve to Grace!! Thanks to her handler Lisa Brodsky for showing her and getting her ready for the ring these past few weeks!!
May 2011(13 pts- 3 Majors- 2 NEW Champions) May 29, 2011- Blue Heavens Notoriously B'Dazzled goes WD for a 4 point Major to FINISH HIS CHAMPIONSHIP. This is is 4th Major!! "Jackson" finished in 7 shows at 9 months of age!! Thank you go Julie Desy for putting ALL 4 Major May 22nd , 2011 - "Sarah" goes Breed and Group 2... 4 Group Placements in 3 weeks , 2 as a class bitch and 2 as a move up!! May 14, 2011 - Blue Heavens Forget-Me-Not "Sarah" goes WB/BW/BB for 1 point .She than goes on to the Group and wins a GROUP 1 for a 4 point Major!!! What a thrill!! By winning the Group that finished Sarah with her third Major!! She is now CH Blue Heavens Forget-Me-Not . "Sarah" followed up her fantastic finish on Saturday with a BB and Group 3 on Sunday!! Three Group placements in 2 weekends- And 2 of those as a Class bitch! May 8, 2011 - Blue Heavens Forget-Me-Not goes WB/BW and BEST OF BREED from the classes over the #1 and #2 ranked Sheltie in the Country.. She than went on to the Group ring and won a Group 2 over the #1 OES and the #1 GSD in the country!! WHAT A DAY!! Could not have asked for a better Mothers day present!! Also B'Dazzled Silver Blast of Blue Heavens "Sonic" went WD for 2 points shown by his co-owner Steve Pate. This now gives Sonic 11 points with 1 Major. May 6, 2011 - Blue Heavens Forget-Me-Not goes WB for 1 point. Now just 5 singles to go!
April 2011(18 pts- 4 Majors- 3 NEW Champions) 3 New Champions to start the month off with a Bang!! April 8th and 9th 2011- Blue Heavens Notoriously B'Dazzled starts off his career in style !! Winning back to back Specialty Majors - 4 Points & 5 Points from the 6-9 month Puppy class at the Interlocking SSC shows. He also went Best In Sweeps on Saturday. Thank you to Julie Desy for handling "Jackson" while we were in Denver judging and a BIG Thank you to the following judges for finding this incredible puppy: Yvonne DeFreitas, Randy Sheets and Cadie Pruss!!! "Jackson" is a littermate to NEW CH B'Dazzled Blue Heavens Consipracy Theory "Blaze" and Blue Heavens Picture Perfect "Focus". Now just one single to go!! March 13, 2011 - Blue Heavens Picture Perfect "Focus" goes WB/BW/BOS over a special for a 3 point Major just 2 days before her 7 month birthday. "Focus" is the littermate to "Blaze" and one of the 3 beautiful babies from our Notorious x Sarah litter!! March 11, 2010 - Blue Heavens Forget-Me-Not "Sarah" goes WB for a 3 point Major!! "Romeo" has 5 Majors towards his Grand championship and a BISS in 3 weekends out as a Special! AND he is not even 2 years old yet! January 7th, 2011(Day) - Blue Heavens Turtle Dove goes WB/BOS for a 4 point Major to finish her Championship and give us our first Champion for 2011
2010 Year In Review When starting out 2010 , we could never in our wildest dreams ever even guess what this year would mean to us and what we would accomplish. We have had years in the past I never felt we could ever surpass but I guess I was wrong. God has smiled on us brightly in 2010 not only with our health and family but in our dog hobby. Remarkably we finished 2010 by gathering 119 AKC points on our dogs with a Total of 20 Majors and 10 of those Majors being Specialty Majors. All but 15 of those points were completely owner handled on our dogs by either Lisa or Lloyd. Blue Heaven had 9 Champions in 2010 with 8 of those being Homebred. One of those 9 Champions was finished by her owner Lisa Brodsky( Ch Blue Heavens Mirror Image)
We have been privileged to date to have won 58 Specialty Majors and 15 Specialty Best In Shows ( With 10 Different shelties) And an ALL BREED BEST IN SHOW!!! Proving the fact that Shetland Sheepdogs can be bred to win in BOTH All Breed Shows and Specialty Shows.
